In a very positive move, Magna Carta School, in partnership with Surrey CC are increasing the playing of cricket and drawing new players in to the sport.

Following discussions with Egham Cricket Club, and then with Surrey CC, the school are running a number of after school 'Cage Cricket' sessions, which are well attended, and encourage the older students to help run the sessions.

The tie up between our Club and the school has grown over the last 18 months, with net sessions taking place last year at Vicarage Road, and we have seen new members joining the Junior Colts section as a consequence.

We look forward to working with Mark Rose at Magna Carta School even more going forward and building on this success to help support cricket in the local area.
