Only the 1st XI manage a victory this week as they keep up their promotion hopes. 2's still in the promotion race despite loss.

1st XI (H) vs Sinjun Grammarians
Egham CC won by 137 runs
The 1st XI made it three wins in a row, eventually coming out comfortable winners against struggling Sinjuns. With the away team late arriving and choosing to bowl first, we made a stuttering start, losing both openers inside the first 6 overs. Having got through the next dozen overs without further loss, we proceeded to lose wickets to the first change bowler, Khan, and were 51-4 after 19 overs. A patient 43 from Summy helped take the total past 100 before he too fell to Khan. Two further quick wickets left us 110-7 and in an ominous position. Step forward, Matt Cooper and Ryan Dennis. These two would prove to be the difference, working well together to keep the score moving; some hard hitting from Cooper (61*) and some good strike rotation from Dennis (33*) saw them put on 98 and the score to a more respectable 208-7 from 55 overs.
In response the visitors were never allowed to get going against the new ball. Dennis with his usual testing pace variations and a fired up Kaltner, bowling good line and length, proved too hot to handle. With the score on a streaky 24-0, Kaltner took a triple-wicket maiden and with a further wicket from Dennis in the next over, suddenly Sinjuns were 24-4. Not letting up, the two continued to trouble the Sinjuns middle order and were soon rewarded, taking the next four wickets for just nine runs. Some resistance from numbers 9 and 10 took the score from 33-8 to 58-8 before the first change of bowling, Dave Morris, would make light work of finishing the job, taking the final two wickets to leave Sinjuns 71 all out.
Notable bowling figures from Kaltner 5-22 and Dennis 3-21, aided by the usual steady glove work from Grant Meadows, who with three more catches in this game, now leads the way for all time Surrey Championship 1st XI catches.
The 1st XI are in second place at the half way stage, with six wins from nine games. They play at home again this week, hosting table toppers Old Emanuel.
